Reunion 2005

A reunion is being organized for July 11 - 18, 2005. It will be held in
Collingwood, Ontario - about a 90 minute drive north of Toronto.

We are hoping to have the largest gathering ever of Fairfield family,
friends and relatives. Please inform anyone who might be
interested in joining us - inlaws, outlaws or anyone who looks like
they might belong - the more, the merrier.


The site of the reunion will be the Mountain Springs Lodge Resort
in Collingwood. Please visit their website via the following link to

Each room has kitchen facilities, allowing you to cook as many or
as few meals as you wish. There are also onsite dining facilities,
and many offsite facilities in close proximity to the resort for those
who wish to eat out. Breakfast and lunch will be at your leisure, as
will some of the dinners. There will be a few organized dinners
where we will all be together at a specific location. Information will
be added later regarding these events.

The prices that we have negotiated for the rooms are as follows:

Studio (sleeps max 4 ppl) $89/ room/ night + 12% tax
One Bedroom (sleeps max 4 ppl) $99/ room/ night + 12% tax
Studio Loft (sleeps max 6 ppl) $109/ room/ night + 12% tax
One Bedroom Loft (sleeps max 6 ppl) $119/ room/ night + 12% tax

These room rates are per night, and are the same whether you
choose to stay for the entire week, or for just a few nights. While it
would be ideal if everyone could arrange to stay for the whole
week, it is understandable that this won't be possible for everyone.
If you are planning to come only for a few nights, please attempt to
stay for the latter part of the week, encompassing the "long"
weekend, when the majority of our family events will be planned.

Each family will be responsible to book their own room(s). To book
your room, phone the resort at 1-800-704-8633. Notify them that
you are booking under the Fairfield Family Reunion block. They
currently have held the entire resort for us, pending notification of
our final numbers. The rate for two nights will be charged
immediately to your credit card, with the rest due on completion of
the reunion. In order for us to figure out numbers, and maintain the
excellent rate that we have negotiated with the hotel, we are being
asked to get our rooms booked as soon as possible. Please
ensure that you do your best to arrange travel plans, and book
your room as soon as you know that you will be able to attend the
reunion. Once booked, please confirm who will be attending by
filling in the blanks on the "For More Info" on this website. It will
help to maintain a database of who will be there, proper names,
ages of children, etc.

There will be optional daily events planned for the reunion
attendees. Different families will be asked to "host" these events.
Examples of potential events are children's activities (in addition to
the Children's Program at the resort), Golf Tournaments, Fairfield
Jeopardy, etc. Some events will be a pay per use cost (for
example, those who wish to take Hummer rides, Go Karts, etc.),
while others will be encompassed in a general "reunion donation"
that we will ask each attendee to pay. This will likely involve costs
for the organized meals (a per person cost), family events (like
Fairfield Jeopardy), and miscellaneous costs for supplies, etc. The
hope is for minimal expense and maximum fun. Information will be
added later regarding these events and costs.
